THE SAX KITTEN originated in June of 2015, when saxophone player, actress, and YouTube personality Eva “Diva” Andersen created an original superhero web series, winning a contest sponsored by Marvel comic creator Stan Lee’s production company, POW Entertainment.
With 14 years of saxophone playing under her belt and a new alter ego about to hit the internet, The Sax Kitten began making live appearances at weddings, raves, and other live events, shocking audiences with a powerful combination of great sax and even greater moxie. Donning a leather jumpsuit that boasts a sequined-saxophone on the bust, she’s a vibrant, musical version of Catwoman, whose greatest weapon is her undeniable groove.
Whether she’s wailing along to popular songs along with a DJ or playing solo at a cocktail hour, The Sax Kitten leaves audiences feeling like they can’t get enough.
Eva “Diva” Andersen is an NYC-based comedic actress and a jazz musician, having rocked out on sax at top NYC venues, from the Apollo Theatre in Harlem to Dizzy’s Jazz Club at Lincoln Center. In addition to playing live, Eva’s musical performances and sketch comedy can be seen on her YouTube channel of nearly 5 million views, EvaDivaSuperstar.
